Speaking of IT and efficiency, radiology workflow orchestration is a great way to bring together radiologists at different institutions in a health system, according to a presentation at the recent SIIM-New York Medical Imaging Informatics Symposium (SIIM-NYMIIS). Workflow orchestration, which can be implemented in a number of ways, ensures that imaging studies are read quickly and by the most appropriate radiologist for the case, said Dr. David Hirschorn of Northwell Health.
