Royal Philips, the parent company of Philips Healthcare, and cloud services provider Digital China Health have introduced a new teleradiology application and services platform in China.
Known as Shinefly, this cloud-based image management software allows users to store, retrieve, view, and analyze medical images remotely -- facilitating collaboration among radiologists and clinicians at different locations, according to the companies. The cloud-based teleradiology services are available via pay-per-use arrangements.
Furthermore, Shinefly is customizable and can cater to various radiological service models, the companies said. For example, healthcare networks can use Shinefly to make medical images and clinical applications available to all of its hospitals, and medical centers can use it to provide disease-specific radiology services.
It will also include advanced clinical applications for cardiology, neurology, and oncology, Philips said.
