RIS and PACS vendor Image Information Systems has developed artificial intelligence (AI) software designed to automatically detect a patient's prior studies in a PACS.
The new reading software, iQ-View Pro 3.1, is part of the company's iQ-System PACS software and has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as well as the European CE Mark.
The software can detect prior studies for a thorax CT scan, for example, which might include a chest x-ray, whole-body PET/CT scan, or cardiac MRI study, the company said. iQ-View Pro 3.1 can also be used as a diagnostic reading station with any DICOM-compliant PACS.
