Data management firm Mach7 Technologies and image viewing software developer Client Outlook said they are collaborating on a PACS modernization project at Sentara Healthcare in Virginia.
The initiative will result in an all-inclusive enterprise imaging ecosystem that is technology-agnostic and ready to support innovations such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence, according to the firms. It will also replace legacy, single-vendor, department-focused PACS, the companies said.
The agreement expands upon previous implementations of Mach7's vendor-neutral archive (VNA) and Client Outlook's eUnity Smartviewer platform in 2014 at Sentara facilities in Virginia and northeast North Carolina.
