Medical image-sharing technology developer Life Image has launched a service for deidentifying patient information in medical imaging data.
The new service optimizes the deidentification functionality in the Google Cloud Healthcare application programming interface (API) by adding a combination of machine learning and human validators, according to Life Image. The augmented deidentification tool achieves accuracy levels consistent with compliance requirements beyond those utilized in healthcare today, helping to protect patient information and to accelerate research and development, the company said.
