Display firm LG Electronics USA Business Solutions debuted larger, higher-resolution radiology and surgical monitors at RSNA 2019 in Chicago.

The software reduces unwanted light wavelengths and enhances color purity to reproduce images that can be seen from almost any vantage point, according to the company. The DICOM is calibrated to American College of Radiology, American Association of Physicists in Medicine, and Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine guidelines. The two DisplayPort video inputs mean the monitor can be operated as two 4-MP screens or as a single 8-MP screen. The monitor is pending U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) class ii approval.
The LG 31.5-inch 4K surgical monitor, model 32HL710S, features a large, ultrahigh-definition display. It's configured to provide low latency from video source to display. Backlight brightness monitoring and control produce consistent flicker-free video. The monitor can be used with a variety of endoscopy cameras and supports high dynamic range (HDR 10) content.
LG's 24-inch healthcare all-in-one thin client, model 24CK560N, is a cloud device that features a DisplayPort video output for connection of a second monitor. Its IPS panel produces images with consistent colors and contrast from any viewing angle. The monitor can be quickly repositioned according to the user's needs with adjustable swivel, pivot, and height. The all-in-one system is a space-efficient replacement for existing PC and monitor setups, freeing up desk space, according to LG. The monitor also comes with a white cabinet to aid with cleaning. The cloud device can be attached to a medical cart.
