Agfa HealthCare has finalized the sale of part of its healthcare IT business to the Dedalus Group, consisting mostly of assets related to its ORBIS electronic health record (EHR).
The 975 million euro ($1.052 billion) deal, which was announced in December, resulted in the sale of Agfa's ORBIS electronic health record software, as well as the vendor's integrated care and specific imaging IT activities in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, and Brazil. Agfa said the closing of the deal enables it to focus exclusively on its core imaging IT software business, flagship products, and customers.
With the sale, Agfa is focusing on its imaging IT business.
