Software developer and monitor supplier Double Black Imaging has begun selling two medical-grade displays for the radiology market from LG Electronics.
The new displays include a 27-inch 8-megapixel monitor (27HJ713C-B) for clinical review use and a 32-inch 8-megapixel monitor (32HL512D-B) for diagnostic applications. Both displays have clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Double Black said that each display features an ultrathin, almost bezel-less design, flicker-safe technology for reducing eye strain, and brightness stabilization for better image consistency. They have 16:9 aspect ratios and can be used in either landscape or portrait orientation. A picture-by-picture mode can show two 4-megapixel screens, or they can run single-screen mode compatible with PACS software applications.
Double Black said it will pair the monitors with its service and calibration software.
