Medical image-sharing technology provider Life Image has introduced Life Image Network Connector (LINC), a new imaging and clinical data exchange service directed at smaller healthcare organizations.
LINC is designed to facilitate the exchange of medical images and other health data for community providers and healthcare entrepreneurs with Life Image's network of academic institutions, specialty hospitals, research organizations, and health systems, according to the vendor. The service, which can be implemented and configured without onsite IT personnel, supports bi-directional digital exchange of diagnostic images and reports with other facilities across the Life Image network, the company said.
What's more, LINC can also share imaging and clinical reports directly to patients over a secure cloud connection, according to the firm.
