Enterprise imaging firm Hyland Healthcare has launched new software and upgrades to existing technology at the RSNA 2020 meeting.
The upgrades are for its universal viewer, image capture and connectivity suite, workflow technology, and vendor-neutral archive (VNA) interface, the company said.
NilRead for Patient Portals is Hyland's new software-as-a-service enterprise imaging software that allows healthcare providers to move their archival and imaging workflows to the cloud. This will help with application and hardware management as well as expenses for medical imaging management.
NilRead also makes images available to authorized users across all departments and locations of a healthcare system, and it replaces the use of CDs with a digital alternative that gives patients access to their images. In addition, with Edge rendering, radiologists at locations with limited bandwidth can use a local version of the NilRead viewer.
Hyland's upgrade to its Acuo Admin Portal for Acuo VNA allows healthcare systems to manage their own DICOM migrations, the firm said.
