Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas has upgraded its Exa software platform with several enhancements, including new clinical decision-support (CDS) capabilities and automation of multiple clinical and administrative tasks.
Konica Minolta has integrated CDS software provider LogicNets' AUC Solution software into Exa. AUC Solution is a qualified clinical decision support mechanism that can help users meet the upcoming government mandate that appropriate use criteria (AUC) be consulted for advanced diagnostic imaging orders in Medicare patients as of January 1, 2023, according to the vendor.
In addition, Konica Minolta has partnered with ImagineSoftware to incorporate insurance eligibility and estimation services into Exa. As a result, the platform can now support automated, real-time medical insurance and billing submission processing, Konica Minolta said. Exa RIS users can also verify patient eligibility for an imaging procedure and provide a patient with an estimate of their out-of-pocket costs during appointment scheduling, according to the firm.
The company will showcase the new Exa features at the RSNA 2021 meeting in Chicago November 28-December 2.
