Enterprise imaging and software developer Intelerad Medical Systems debuted its latest software, Intelerad Cloud DR (disaster recovery), at the RSNA 2021 meeting in Chicago.
Cloud DR is designed to provide secure, isolated, and immutable copies of all medical images with unlimited capacity services. It alleviates the risks of natural disasters, human error, technological failure, or cybersecurity breaches among hospitals, healthcare systems, and radiology practice groups.
The software eliminates the need to procure, rack, and host extensive storage and disaster recovery infrastructure/management onsite and is independent from PACS and vendor-neutral archive systems, meaning Cloud DR study copies are isolated from other storage sets on the network. Also, the software is built on the Amazon Web Services public cloud architecture so organizations only pay for the storage they need.
