Enterprise imaging and software developer Intelerad Medical Systems has acquired imaging informatics software developer PenRad Technologies.
For Intelerad, the acquisition will broaden its analytics offerings for lung and breast cancer screening, according to the vendor. PenRad's core products include its PenRad breast imaging software, PenLung lung screening software, and PenTrac patient tracking and reporting software.
"Lung and breast cancer impact millions of individuals, and screenings play a major role in saving lives," Intelerad CEO Mike Lipps said in a statement. "By integrating PenRad's core solutions into our company, we can ensure all patients have access to the scans they need to decrease health risks, while at the same time offering healthcare systems greater productivity."
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
