Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network has launched a new imaging-specific storage feature for its data archiving service for healthcare providers, HealthLake.
HealthLake Imaging will help users store, access, and analyze medical images "at petabyte scale," the company said. Amazon expects that it will help reduce the total cost of medical imaging storage by up to 40%, it said.
Initial users of the upgrade include imaging software firm Arterys, enterprise imaging and software developer Intelerad Medical Systems, the University of Maryland Medical Intelligent Imaging Center in Baltimore, MD, and Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Amazon has also collaborated with Nvidia to develop a medical open artificial intelligence network, according to the firm.
