RIS/PACS vendor Medweb has launched a new data-sharing platform called MedwebX.
The platform supports the 2016 21st Century Cures Act, which mandated the sharing of electronic health information, the company said. MedwebX allows for HIPAA-compliant sharing of images, studies, and reports and incorporates HL7, FHIR, and DICOM routing and translation tools. It can also be integrated into electronic health record systems.
