Accuray will highlight new breast cancer treatment capabilities for its Radixact image-guided radiation therapy system at the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) 2022 annual meeting being held October 23-26 in San Antonio, TX.
Radixact is a surface-guided radiation therapy (SGRT) system, and the new breast cancer treatment package was developed in partnership with patient positioning device developer C-Rad. The package is designed to enable clinicians to provide integrated and automated deep inspiration breath hold breast cancer treatment.
Accuray said a name for the breast cancer treatment package will be revealed at ASTRO and noted the package is pending clearance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
