GE Healthcare has installed its clinical and IT systems at Pepin Heart Hospital and Research Institute on the campus of University Community Hospital in Tampa, FL.
The all-digital facility is entirely paperless, filmless, and wireless, according to Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.-based GE. The 136-bed hospital has five surgical suites, 10 cardiac cath labs, and an arrhythmia clinic, and will run a women and heart disease program as well as a comprehensive rehabilitation program.
The hospital will begin accepting patients next month, GE said.
