A steady increase in demand for imaging services, coupled with pressures to improve the quality of healthcare and lower costs, will fuel global imaging markets.
A new report from U.K.-based market research firm TriMark predicts that imaging segments are poised for a new phase of expansion with the growing availability of new computer and digital information technology.
The study also cited a greater interest of individual baby boom patients and general healthcare consumers to monitor their health status as another driving force, with digital mammography prompting more screening programs.
