The Health Industry Manufacturers Association (HIMA) has changed its name to AdvaMed, the association has announced. The change was made to more accurately reflect the organization's advocacy role in ensuring patient access to innovative medical technologies. AdvaMed president Pamela Bailey said the new name better reflects the innovative companies that AdvaMed represents, as well as the association's desire to educate patients and government officials worldwide about advances in lifesaving medical technologies.
