Medical supply manager Novation has finalized a sole-source agreement with Eastman Kodak for the purchase of medical film products and dry laser imagers. Novation said the agreement will generate significant cost savings for the 2,100 members and affiliates of the VHA and UHC national healthcare alliances that Novation supplies.
The agreement also extends to organizations that purchase supplies through HealthCare Purchasing Partners International, a company that markets Novation purchasing agreements to organizations that do not belong to either VHA or UHC.
Irving, TX-based Novation estimates that total purchases under the contract will be worth about $1.4 billion over its five-year term. Company president Mark McKenna said the agreement with Kodak offers substantial financial and non-financial value to VHA and UHC members.
