Video equipment distributor Scientific Vision Systems (SVS) of Carlsbad, CA, announced the addition of a new Sony medical printer to its equipment lineup. Sony UP-55MD replaces the discontinued Sony UP-51MD, and is designed for diagnostic imaging systems, ultrasound and endoscopy applications, and as a peripheral for mobile C-arm units.

Sony UP-55MD produces 5 x 7-inch A5 prints in 20 seconds, according to SVS, and has a footprint of 11-1/8 inches wide by 15-3/4 inches deep.
