X-ray manufacturer Del Global Technologies of Valhalla, NY, is reporting healthy growth in both revenues and net income for its first quarter of fiscal 2000 (end-October 30).
The company turned in revenue of $15.7 million, up 6% compared with $14.8 million in the same period of fiscal 1999. Del’s net income for the quarter was $1.5 million, compared with $1.4 million in the corresponding period a year earlier.
Del executives said that the growing trend in which major manufacturers are outsourcing the development of medical imaging components has worked in the company’s favor. Del provides components, such as power conversion systems, to OEMs. Other positive trends for the company include the growth of minimally invasive surgery applications and developing trends in the telecommunications market that use the company’s technology.
