GE OEC inks deal with Visualization

Interventional radiology firm GE OEC Medical Systems has signed a definitive agreement with Visualization Technology to develop intraoperative computerized navigation systems for image-guided surgery applications.

Under the long-term, exclusive contract, GE OEC of Salt Lake City will take an equity position in privately-held Visualization, which is based in Wilmington, MA. The two firms will collaborate on product development and worldwide distribution. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
