Web-based image management developer RealTimeImage has landed another big-name investor. The firm, which already counts such heavyweights as Intel and Citicorp among its backers, received an investment from commercial imaging provider Scitex of Herzlia, Israel. The deal gives Scitex approximately 13% of RealTimeImage's shares on a fully diluted basis.
The equity investment builds on a relationship in place between the companies since 1998, when the firms cooperated on a deal to distribute software for the commercial print community. San Mateo, CA-based RealTimeImage has developed Pixels-On-Demand, an image-streaming technology targeted for the graphic arts and medical communities.
