Agilent organizes connectivity group

Agilent Technologies has announced the launch of the Connectivity Industry Consortium, a 32-member, industry-funded nonprofit group that hopes to better connect handheld diagnostic devices to healthcare information systems and electronic medical records.

CIC is composed of device manufacturers, information systems companies, and healthcare providers, and will develop and implement standards to enable seamless information exchange between point-of-care systems and information systems, according to Palo Alto, CA-based Agilent Laboratories.
