Display component provider Dome Imaging Systems announced the release of Calibration TQA at this week's Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society conference in Dallas. Calibration TQA, available for Windows 95/NT 4.0 and Solaris operating systems, includes a photometer and software, and guarantees image integrity over time and between monitors, according to the Waltham, MA-based firm.
The new photometer requires the user to hold the sensor to the screen, reducing light variables and poor screen contact due to aging rubber from old photometers, according to Dome. Three active sensors are included to optimize low-light, mid-range, and bright conditions.
Calibration TQA's software corrects for monitor degradation and notifies users when monitors are no longer suitable for clinical and diagnostic applications, according to Dome. A new graphical user interface has also been added.
