Fischer Imaging reported revenue of $13.7 million in its first quarter, a 3% decline compared with 1999 first quarter revenues of $14.2 million, which excluded the sale of a technology license to GE Medical Systems. The Denver-based mammography and x-ray firm reported net income of $351,000, compared with a loss of $2.5 million in the same period in 1999, which excluded income from the GE license sale.
In quarterly highlights, Fischer reported a 23% increase in its Mammotest stereotactic breast biopsy system, and completed OEM shipment obligations, thus wrapping up the company's activity in that sector. Fischer also reported 21% revenue growth in its non-OEM product business.
