Miracor revenues soar in Q2

Imaging center chain Miracor Diagnostics reported revenues of $2.1 million in its second quarter, up 150% from the $853,000 reported in the same period last year. The revenue gains were enough to bring the San Diego-based vendor to profitability.

Miracor had net income of $59,000 for the quarter (end-June 30), compared with a 1999 same-quarter loss of $483,000. The boost was attributable to a steadily increasing volume of imaging scans, as well as the firm's acquisition of additional MRI centers in early February, according to president and CEO Lee Hulsebus.
