Hampton, NH-based Fisher Scientific's deal to buy medical products distributor PSS World Medical of Jacksonville, FL, has broken down, the companies reported. The firms said that they terminated the agreement by mutual consent after determining that the acquisition was not in the best interests of either company.
PSS World Medical put itself up for sale in January after encountering financial troubles. The company operates in the medical imaging market through its Diagnostic Imaging subsidiary.
