GE forms cardiology organization

GE Medical Systems has formed GE Medical Systems Cardiology, a dedicated sales and marketing organization for its cardiology customers. Brent Shafer, former general manager of x-ray sales and marketing, has been named general manager of the new organization, which will be based in Waukesha, WI.

Cardiology-related products offered by the company include cardiac x-ray, MR, CT, nuclear medicine, cardiovascular ultrasound, electrocardiography, and integrated cardiovascular information systems.
