Dear AuntMinnie Member,
The ballots have been counted and the winners have been selected for the Minnies, AuntMinnie.com's annual event recognizing excellence in radiology.
This year, more than 200 candidates faced off in 15 categories, ranging from Most Influential Radiology Researcher to Best Radiology Image. Candidates were selected based on nominations from our members, and winners were picked through two rounds of voting by our expert panel.
Congratulations to those who won awards, as well as to those who were nominated. You can see the full list of winners at minnies.auntminnie.com.
Also, we'd like to thank our panel for their hard work in selecting the winners -- you did a great job!
RSNA centennial coming up
Another cause for celebration is the upcoming RSNA meeting, which will be observing its 100th anniversary in Chicago.
The RSNA is pulling out all the stops for its centenary conference, with a variety of events designed to make the meeting memorable, according to an article by Copy and Production Editor Nicole Pettit. These include exhibits on radiology-oriented works of art, an opening ceremony for the technical exhibit, and even a food and wine event.
What's more, RSNA 2014 attendees will be able to try their diagnostic interpretation skills on classic cases from the past 100 years, and even meet a virtual version of radiology's pioneer, Wilhelm Roentgen. Check out the story by clicking here.
