ASRT chooses new president-elect

Donna Newman, a nuclear medicine technologist on staff at Meritcare Medical Health Systems in Fargo, ND, has been named president-elect of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. Her one-year term will begin in June 2002. Newman previously served as the organization's vice president and secretary-treasurer.

Several new officers will be sworn in at the June 2001 ASRT conference in Orlando, FL: Eileen Maloney, program director and a professor of radiography at Passaic County Community College in Paterson, N.J, will serve as vice president; Dawn Fearn, director of the radiation therapy program at the Medical Institute of Minnesota in Bloomington will be secretary-treasurer; and Allen Terrell will begin his one-year term as president.
