The American College of Radiology (ACR) plans to focus on quality and safety at its new annual meeting, ACR 2015, to be held May 17-21 at the Marriott Wardman Park hotel in Washington, DC.
Quality and safety sessions will cover such topics as metrics and pay for performance, radiation dose optimization strategies, the effect of regulations and social media on radiation in medical imaging, and challenges in mammography screening.
In addition, more than 100 concurrent sessions will address leadership and clinical education, advocacy, economics, informatics, and clinical and socioeconomic research. Attendees will be able to earn continuing medical education (CME) and self-assessment module (SAM) credits for maintenance of certification.
Former U.S. Secretary of State and retired Gen. Colin Powell will deliver the keynote address, ACR said.
