The Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA) has a new regulatory and standards director.
Megan Hayes will lead MITA's efforts to identify opportunities for performance, quality, and safety standards, while also promoting current standards among a variety of stakeholders, including regulators, industry, and standards development organizations, MITA said. She will also work with international regulatory bodies, such as the International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF), to promote the adoption of imaging standards.
Prior to joining MITA, Hayes developed technical standards at the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), MITA's parent organization. Hayes also led technical standards development for the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions and the Consumer Electronics Association.
