The American College of Radiology (ACR) has named Mythreyi Bhargavan Chatfield, PhD, as vice president of quality and safety.
Chatfield has a strong understanding of the changing dynamics of healthcare as it turns its focus to quality healthcare delivery and value for the patient, ACR Chief Executive Officer Dr. William Thorwarth Jr. said in a statement.
"She is committed to taking a proactive approach on the key issues affecting radiology," he added.
Chatfield succeeds Pamela Wilcox, who is retiring after 28 years with ACR. Wilcox joined ACR in 1987 as it launched the voluntary mammography accreditation program. She has provided professional support and oversight for the development and implementation of nine additional accreditation programs as the quality and safety department grew from four to 78 employees.
