The American College of Radiology (ACR) has released the schedule for its 2016 all-member meeting, to be held May 15-19 in Washington, DC.
Sessions are organized in nine "knowledge pathways," with more than 100 hours of continuing medical education (CME) programming. Attendees can customize a personal agenda, sampling content from Imaging 3.0, the ACR Education Center, the Radiology Leadership Institute, and the American Institute for Radiologic Pathology.
The five-day meeting will also provide the latest information about the Radiology Support, Communication, and Alignment Network (R-SCAN), which assists medical professionals in fulfilling American Board of Radiology maintenance-of-certification (MOC) part 4 requirements.
The keynote address will be given by Dr. Ezekiel (Zeke) Emanuel, PhD, an architect of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and will be titled "The Future of American Healthcare: What Is the Role of Radiology?" ACR President Dr. David Kushner will discuss the role of radiologists in more accountable patient- and family-centered care.
Special events include Capitol Hill day, an economics forum, and a one-day version of the intensive practical course on body and pelvic MRI offered at the ACR Education Center.
