The Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) has unveiled its Quality Improvement (QI) Self-Assessment Tool to help facilities meet quality measures required under the commission's diagnostic imaging accreditation programs.
A new feature of the IAC's online accreditation service, QI Self-Assessment Tool is designed to help facilities employ and document continuous process improvement programs, according to the IAC. Facilities can use the software to self-assess their own imaging studies and receive a quantitative report that identifies opportunities for improvement. These objective measures of QI progress can be used for complying with the quality measures mandated by the IAC vascular testing, echocardiography, nuclear/PET, MRI, and CT imaging accreditation programs, the commission said.
