The Society of Breast Imaging (SBI) recently named Dr. Wendy DeMartini as the new editor in chief for the Journal of Breast Imaging, replacing Dr. Jennifer Harvey.
DeMartini is a professor and the division chief of breast imaging in the department of radiology at Stanford University School of Medicine. She has more than 150 original research abstracts and publications and lectures on a spectrum of topics, with emphasis on evidence-based utilization and breast MRI, according to the SBI.
She also serves as co-director of the American College of Radiology (ACR) Education Center Breast MRI Course and chair of the ACR BI-RADS Breast MRI subcommittee. She was elected as an SBI Fellow in 2009 and served as SBI president from 2017 to 2018.
Attendees of the upcoming SBI annual meeting will have the chance to personally meet DeMartini at the SBI booth. The society also said it thanks Harvey for her tenure as the journal's editor in chief.
