William Mortimore, chairman and chief strategist of Merge Technologies, has been appointed to a two-year term on the board of directors of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association's Diagnostic Imaging and Therapy Systems division.
Since 1997, Mortimore has served on the American College of Radiology/NEMA committee responsible for establishing and maintaining the DICOM medical imaging standard, according to Milwaukee-based Merge, a PACS and connectivity vendor that has played a key role in development of the DICOM standard.
