Eastman Kodak has appointed medical imaging veteran Dan Kerpelman as president of its Health Imaging unit. Kerpelman comes to the Rochester, NY-based vendor from GE Medical Systems, where he most recently served as general manager of GE's global diagnostic x-ray business. He has nearly 15 years of management experience in the imaging industry.
Kerpelman will join the firm June 1, and will report to Kodak chairman and CEO Daniel Carp. Kodak said that Kerpelman will develop strategies to pursue growth opportunities created by the convergence of imaging and information technologies, and will also help oversee the daily operations of the unit.
Candy Obourn, who was named COO of Health Imaging after the January departure of previous president Michael McQuade, will remain in her post. Kerpelman will be based in Rochester.
