Hourly manufacturers' labor charges for MRI/CT maintenance have grown at
a faster rate over the past five years than either nuclear medicine or
general radiology rates. From 1998 to 2002, MRI/CT rates increased 116%
from $174 an hour to $376 an hour.
By comparison, manufacturers' rates in nuclear medicine rose 83% over the same time period, from $173 an hour to $317 while general radiology rates grew from $141 to $217, or 54%.
