Radiology trade magazine Imaging Economics has come under new ownership after the publication's parent company, Ascend Media, sold its medical division to a new owner.
Ascend of Overland Park, KS, announced on August 17 that it sold its Los Angeles-based Allied Healthcare division to Anthem Media Group, also of Overland Park. In addition to Imaging Economics, the sale includes 10 other magazines, such as Clinical Lab Products, Hearing Review, Orthodontic Products, and 24x7.
Anthem already publishes regional, national, and contract titles in the retail, food service, entertainment, corporate, and consumer sectors. With the addition of the Allied Healthcare titles, it will publish 6 million total printed copies annually. Anthem Media executive Dennis Triola will become president of the new division, which will be called Allied Media. Larry Lannon, former Ascend division president, will report to Triola.
