Group purchasing organization Broadlane of Dallas has appointed a new CEO and a new president, splitting what was formerly one position into two.
Patrick Ryan, Broadlane's chairman, has been named CEO. Thomas Sherry, Broadlane's chief operating officer, will take on the additional responsibilities of president. David Ricker, Broadlane's current president and CEO, will step down from his full-time role, but he will continue as a member of the board of directors.
Prior to joining Broadlane, Ryan served as CEO of PolyMedica (PLMD) until its sale to Medco Health Solutions (MHS) in 2007, Broadlane said.
