The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) has elected three new officers for its 2011 to 2012 board of directors, the society said. The new officers will begin one-year terms after the ASRT annual governance meeting in June.
Donna Thaler Long has been tapped as president-elect. She will serve one term as president-elect, one as president, and one as chair of the board. Long is program director for Ball State University/Indiana University Health-Methodist Hospital's radiography program.
Julie Gill, PhD, is the newly elected vice president of the board. She is an associate professor in the allied health department at the University of Cincinnati and is also the current ASRT secretary-treasurer.
William Brennan will serve as the board's 2011 to 2012 secretary-treasurer. He is a senior systems engineer in radiology for New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
ASRT also elected 27 members to serve in its House of Delegates, the society said.
