The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and the Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems (AMDIS) have entered into an exclusive partnership to create a permanent link between their global networks of health professionals.
The partnership will expand and improve programming and resources available to physicians and clinical leaders and will include new educational offerings, collaborative work on public policy, and co-hosted events, according to the two organizations.
Both groups will continue to support the HIMSS-AMDIS Physician Executive Award and will codevelop and cross-promote healthcare conferences such as the HIMSS Global Health Conference and Exhibition and the AMDIS Physician-Computer Connection Symposium.
While the agreement will initially focus on North America, HIMSS, and AMDIS plan to develop educational and membership initiatives for international use.
