Tanya Moseley, MD, chief of breast imaging at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, has received the 2025 American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) Distinguished Educator award.

The honor recognizes outstanding individuals in the field of medical imaging who have a proven record of improving radiological education and remain committed to creating and implementing new and innovative educational activities.

“Moseley's exceptional ability to combine clinical expertise with innovative teaching methods, while championing mentorship, quality, and inclusivity, makes her the ideal recipient of this honor,” ARRS said, in a news release.

For more than two decades, Moseley's contributions to the ARRS have transformed radiological education, the society said. She has served on key educational committees and held roles as case-based breast imaging chair and AJR SA-CME consultant editor which led to the creation of the first multivendor tomosynthesis certification course. In addition, as creator and director of the ARRS Longitudinal Course Series, she continues to advance innovative approaches to radiology education, the society said.
