Poll finds voters view ABCD Act favorably

The Alliance for Breast Cancer Policy is highlighting results of a new poll suggesting broad support for health insurers covering the full cost of all recommended breast imaging, not just routine screening mammograms.

Described as a national survey of 1,000 Republican primary voters, the poll was conducted during July and August 2025 and referenced the Access to Breast Cancer Diagnosis (ABCD) Act (S. 1500, and H.R. 3037), specifically. Ninety percent of respondents expressed support for the ABCD Act, according to the Alliance.

The organization said respondents strongly supported coverage at no cost to patients, particularly when additional diagnostic imaging is needed after a patient receives suspicious or inconclusive results from initial imaging (94%), and supplemental imaging, such as an MRI and ultrasound, is recommended for a high-risk patient (92%).
