Online workforce info available at ASRT

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists has added a workforce resource, called the Recruitment and Retention Took Kit, to its Web site. The kit includes workforce statistics on radiologic technologists, case studies, and how-to advice on hiring and keeping employees.

The kit also features streaming video segments that describe educational options in radiography, sonography, nuclear medicine, and radiation therapy. The recruitment section is geared toward people who are interested in the RT field; the retention section addresses the concerns of managers and educators; the regulations section houses information on laws and standards, including links to state licensing laws.

Finally, a reference section includes links to the results of several ASRT surveys on salaries, demographics, and the workplace environment, according to Albuquerque, NM-based ASRT.
