The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) has awarded two recipients the 2017 International Speakers Exchange Award.
The award encourages knowledge exchange among radiologic technologists and their international colleagues. The ASRT Foundation has presented it to medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals for more than a decade, the organization said.
The two winners, Regina Ley and Carole South-Winter, will present their work to their colleagues at two upcoming conferences, one in Canada and one in England. Ley will present her paper, "The Quest for Hakuna Matata: My Journey Into Community Global Outreach," in April at the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists annual meeting in Ottawa, Ontario. South-Winter will present her paper, "Opinion Leadership in Health Care: A Study of Ghana," in June at the U.K. Radiological Congress in Manchester.
Applications for the 2018 award will be available in July and are due October 1, the ASRT said.
