The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and Siemens Healthineers have teamed up to provide two medical imaging technologists and one radiation therapist with travel grants of up to $4,000 each.
The grants will allow the recipients to attend educational and professional conferences this year.
The recipients of the 2017 Siemens Education Journey Award are as follows:
- Kelly Bell of Paradise Valley, NV, who will attend the Siemens Innovations for Imaging conference to be held in Atlanta in March.
- Dale Bourgeois of Richland, WA, who will attend the ASRT Educational Symposium to be held in Orlando, FL, in June.
- Rachel Dency of Coral Springs, FL, who will attend the ASRT Radiation Therapy Conference to be held in San Diego in September.
The grant was developed to promote peer-to-peer education and support professional development in the radiologic technology community, the ASRT said. Awarded funds help cover the cost of conference registration fees, travel, and lodging for recipients who may not otherwise be able to attend an educational conference.
